The Red Lobster is a chain of seafood restaurants that has been hugely popular in the United States of America for a while now. It also has a few international franchises in Canada and in Japan. As of today there are over 690 Red Lobster restaurants in the whole of America.
The menu of this chain of restaurant is mainly sporting seafood specialty dishes but there are a few non seafood dishes, starters and desserts that are offered for the 'land lovers'! There are the wood grill specials that have the list of the entrees. There are four dishes that are more famous than the rest. These are The Wood Grilled Lobster, Shrimps and Scallops, Wood Grilled Peppercorn Sirloin and Shrimp, Maple Glazed Salmon and Shrimp and Wood Grilled Scallops, Shrimps and Chicken. Each of these dishes is grilled to perfection and served on a bed of wild rice pilaf, all except for the sirloin which is served with mashed potatoes. You also have the Peach Bourbon BBQ Shrimps and Scallops, Maple Glazed Chicken, Garlic Grilled Jumbo Shrimp, Steak Lobster and Shrimp Oscar, NY Strip Steak, and NY strip and Rock Lobster Tail. The Pecan Crusted Jumbo Shrimp is a new addition to this section.
The menu also offers really great fresh fish that can be wood fire grilled, oven broiled or blackened. The fish can be bought in half the size or full if you are feeling particularly hungry. There are also two different types of toppings that you can add to your fish - Shrimp Bruschetta and New Orleans Shrimp. You can also order a Steamed Main Lobster that weighs near one and one-fourth pounds. Heavier ones will be charged according to their weight.
There are 2 standard salads that you can order. They are the Caesar salad and the classic fresh Garden Salad. The appetizers are few but very tasty. These include the seafood stuffed mushrooms, mozzarella cheese sticks and the chilled jumbo prawns cocktail. Like I said before, they are few but are totally heavenly. You also have three dinner menu dishes called the Ultimate Feast, Seaside Shrimp Trio, and the Admiral's Feast. You can choose two entrees and make your own feast as well. The lunch menu on the other hand is quite vast. They offer the Coastal Soup and Grilled Shrimp salad in which the soup comes in a sour dough bowl, Shrimp Flat Bread and Grilled Shrimp Salad, New England Lobster Rolls, Wood Grilled Skewers, Shrimp and Wood Grilled Chicken, Beer Batter Shrimp and Chips, Shrimp Jambalaya, Lobster and Shrimp Pasta that is the chef's signature dish, Sole or the seafood stuffed sole, hand breaded Shrimp, Farm Raised Cat fish, Crunchy Popcorn Shrimp and still more others.
The Lighthouse selection on the menu sports those dishes that are low in fat and calories. There are 9 to 10 dishes under this category giving health conscious patrons enough of variety to choose from. There are also 5 standard dessert dishes including the cheese cake, key lime pie, apple crumble and others.
